sdc_logoStroud District Council serves a population of 112,700 spread over a catchment of 175 square miles. It provides a wide range of public services including environmental health, planning, waste and recycling collections, housing advice, licensing, building control, leisure centres, community safety and benefits services.

The council is the only one in Gloucestershire to manage its own social housing stock (over 5,000 council homes) and has embarked on a multi-million pound development programme to build more homes and improve existing ones.

Working with its neighbouring public authorities and GFirst LEP, Stroud District Council is focused on making a joined-up contribution to secure a strong economic future for Gloucestershire.
